June Newsletter~ Flo’s List

beachMercury in Retrograde is over.  YAY!  If you’re unsure of what this is.  Here is a great article.  What a whirl wind this one was.  I benefited from its gifts of completion though with house renovations but not without some electronic glitches along the way like no washer & dryer for 5 weeks!  As we neared completion, with 4 foster seven week old kittens having diarrhea and my son’s college graduation party for 60 with 13 staying for the weekend looming, feeling overwhelmed, I finally surrendered & asked for help & the Angels came to the rescue as always.

I heard loudly it’s time to go with the flow.  “You can’t do it all the way you want.  You have to prioritize.  The perfect curtains for the new rooms have to wait.  The food is enough.” And on and on.  Then I heard that I needed a “Flo list” to remind me to go with the flow.   Flo’s list was for all the things that would be nice to complete but not necessary.  I needed to add the next thing I felt I wanted but didn’t have to do to this list.

It was such a great way to remind me to go with the flow in a tangible way.  I love to cross things off my to do list and can always find more things to do that keep me from my goal of being. I mentally put things on my new BFF, Flo’s list often since the party to keep my priorities straight. This frees up time from the nonessential things that can take over if I let them.

This got me thinking of other things that aren’t so important that get to the top of my list without my noticing. How else could I make more conscious choices prioritizing so that the important things come first?  Wouldn’t it be great to get together more often with those wonderful friends that I care so much about, making meditation a daily practice instead of when it fits in to my schedule, stopping the rushing and taking time to sit with no purpose.

We are beginning my favorite season which is summer & I am determined to go with the flow, enjoy and be in many wonderful, warm, sun filled moments. As my kids have both graduated from college & moved on to their wonderful lives out of state & I am about to celebrate my 49th birthday, it is time for me to enJOY this Me time.  My outwardly focused life as a full time mother, nurse, caretaker and even spiritual counselor, medium and mentor needs to get rebalanced.

So I will be taking the month of July off from individual appts to recharge and refresh except for my scheduled Reiki Master Teacher class 7/11- 12 and Summer Beach Retreat 7/31- 8/2.  My plan is to take July and Feb off each year to reboot, recharge and refresh.  In 13 Angelights years I have never taken off more than a week at a time besides last year for my surgeries.  That time off taught me so much about what is important.  It’s time to put the lessons into practice.  I’ll let you know how it goes!

I hope you can prioritize your schedule and life too.  Feel free to add anything to your own Flo list if you’re feeling overwhelmed.  The magic is that using it reminds us of what is truly important which is never the earthly to do’s.  Isn’t it time to thrive not just survive and create instead of react?

I wish you the space in your life to breathe in the wonder of each moment.  You are all in my hearts and prayers for a peace filled, healthy, love filled month.

love, love, love you,

Jackie xo
